Upgrade Sequencing – Stage 2
In Stage 2, we further improve the flow of the charge air into the engine. By optimizing the airflow into the turbocharger and eliminating the flow restrictions in the upper intercooler plumbing, we have been able to push our EVO to 320whp at the same 19psi boost level used in Stage 1. Our upper intercooler pipe upgrade eliminates 6 bends and 16 inches of length. Because the flowpath of the pipe was so important, it necessitated a solution to relocate the battery. This has been resolved with our battery kit. Looking at the intake hose from the mass air pipe to the turbo, it was apparent to us that improvements could be made. To this end we have developed a smooth flowing 3" intake pipe. These Stage 2 modifications were developed with our future modifications in mind. For example, we designed the upper intercooler pipe kit to work with our upgraded front mount intercooler kit so that you would not be forced to repurchase parts that you've already upgraded.
